Aston Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez has admitted he does not know whether his future is at the club.
The 32-year-old appeared to be leaving the club after a 2-0 win at Tottenham Hotspur in May, his final game at Villa Park last season.
Martinez only signed a new contract with the Villans until 2029 last season but has been linked with a move away. Martinez has

Martinez, though, is focused solely on the short-term – and that involves representing Argentina, against Chile this Friday and Colombia next Wednesday, in their World Cup qualifiers. Naturally, he was asked about what his own future holds as he touched down, but the 32-year-old remained coy on the situation.
“My future? I don’t know,” he told the press. “I’m here to play for the national team, and that’s all I care about right now. Do I want to change clubs? The transfer market has just opened, so there’s still a lot to do.”
“I don’t know. I’m here to play for the national team and that’s the most important thing for me now,” Martinez said.
“The market has only just opened, there’s still a long way to go.”
Pressed further, he said: “The idea is to win, to keep winning.”
